Everyone answers the same question: what word or phrase best describes what you value most in how this team works? Responses appear as a live word cloud. The words that appear largest are the ones that already matter to your team, not the ones on a poster.
Values defined by leadership and announced at an all-hands rarely stick. Values that a team names for itself are a different thing. This activity makes that process visible and collective: instead of voting on a list someone prepared, people contribute their own words and the group sees where they naturally converge.
How to use it:
- Share the participation link or QR code with your team
- Each person writes one or two words or short phrases that reflect what they genuinely value in their work together
- Project the word cloud and use the result to start the conversation: which values carry the most weight? Are there any surprises?
Works for: team offsites, new team formation, onboarding sessions, culture workshops, or any moment where you want to surface what your team actually cares about rather than what it says it cares about.
