Frequently asked questions

Where do I find my presentation ID?

Log in to author.questiory.com, open a presentation, and click Share. The Presentation ID will be copied to your clipboard automatically.

The shortcode shows a blank space. What's wrong?

Make sure the ID is correct and contains only letters, numbers, and hyphens. Double-check that you copied the full ID from the Share dialog.

Can I embed multiple presentations on the same page?

Yes. You can use the shortcode as many times as you need on any page or post.

Does the player work on mobile?

Yes. The default width is 100%, which makes the embed fluid and responsive. You may want to adjust the height parameter for smaller screens.

Do I need to configure anything?

No. Install, activate, and add the shortcode. It works with any WordPress theme out of the box.

Will this plugin slow down my site?

No. The plugin is a single lightweight PHP file. It loads no external scripts, no tracking code, and no stylesheets on your site. The only thing it adds to your page is an iframe pointing to the Questiory player, which only loads when a visitor reaches that part of the page.

Is Questiory free?

Questiory has a generous free plan that lets you create presentations and collect responses without a credit card. Paid plans unlock higher response limits, white-label branding, and more. The WordPress plugin itself is always free.

Does it work with Gutenberg and page builders like Elementor?

Yes. The shortcode works in the WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) using the Shortcode block, and in any page builder that supports shortcodes, including Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, and others.

Can I add a live poll to a WordPress post?

Yes. In Questiory, start by choosing the interaction that fits your question best. Multiple choice lets participants pick one option or several answers at once. Valuation works well for rating something on a scale. Open-ended questions collect free-text responses. And if you want something more unexpected, This or That lets your audience choose between two options in a single tap.

Once you have your question, pick the visualization that makes the most sense for the responses: a bar chart for choices, a word cloud for open answers, a gauge for averages. Your poll is ready. Copy the presentation ID and paste the shortcode into any post or page.

What kinds of interactive content can I embed?

Any experience you build in Questiory: open-ended questions, multiple choice polls, word clouds, bar charts, pie charts, drawing activities, image submissions, radar charts, flipcards, and much more. You can also combine interactions with content slides to tell a full interactive story.

Can participants respond on their phone?

Yes. Participants can respond from any device with a browser: phone, tablet, or desktop. No app download needed. The experience is fully mobile-friendly on both the embed side and the participation side.

Can I see who responded and what they said?

All responses are collected in your Questiory account at author.questiory.com, where you can review, moderate, and export participations. Responses are anonymous by default. The WordPress plugin is just the embed layer. The data lives in Questiory.
